Modern Family Home in Hertfordshire

What we delivered

Refurbishment to transform

A seven bedroom semi-detached Edwardian family home situated in a prime residential location in picturesque Hertfordshire. The property presents a wealth of charm and character associated with its era, including high ceilings and original cornicing.

The client approached us wanting to transform their period property into a bright family home with plenty of storage space, whilst enhancing the wealth of character of this period property.

The project involved significant refurbishment to transform this three storey property into a modern family home. This included adding a single storey rear extension with new open plan kitchen and dining spaces. The entire building underwent renovation with new interior decoration throughout.

Creating an interior design scheme

The scheme we designed was sleek, modern and luxurious with continuation of a neutral colour palette throughout to create a seamless flow from room to room. Architectural details such as ceiling coffers with recessed lighting, curtain pockets and decorative plaster cornicing infused elegance and grandeur, whilst instilling character. Statement pieces we specified included, a grand waterfall crystal chandelier in the entrance, and made to measure free-standing furniture. In the main bathrooms, we specified beautiful Italian marbles and bespoke vanity units. The remaining bathrooms were finished with large format porcelain tiles for a seamless aesthetic. The finishing touches to the interior scheme included framing the client’s artwork and handpicked accessories, to delivering the ultimate elegant luxury home.
